About the role:

 Justteachers is seeking a dedicated and caring SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in the Bradford area on a long-term basis. This full-time position is due to start in September, with shortlisting currently underway. The school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) are supported to achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils with SEND on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to access learning effectively
• Assisting with the delivery of tailored interventions and differentiated learning activities
• Promoting independence, confidence and positive engagement within the classroom
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to ensure pupils receive the support they need

Pre-requisites:

• Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, youth work or support work
• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• A good understanding of a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD and learning difficulties
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
