Accounting Associate

Ledgent Finance and Accounting is seeking an Accounting Associate for Direct hire opportunity with a non profit partner of ours in the St Paul area!

Pay: $22-$24/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including invoice entry, coding, and payment tracking
• Prepare and post basic journal entries under supervision
• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
• Support month-end close by preparing schedules and reports
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation
• Research and resolve transaction discrepancies
• Assist with financial reporting, audits, and compliance requests
• Communicate with internal teams and vendors to resolve accounting issues
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or progress toward degree)
• 0-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or relevant internship experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Dynamics) preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
