About the Role
About the role: We are seeking an English Teacher to join a secondary school in Salford. This is a great opportunity to teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a supportive and welcoming school environment. You will deliver engaging lessons that help students develop their reading, writing, and communication skills, while encouraging confidence and enjoyment in learning. Working alongside colleagues in the English department, you will support students to make good progress and achieve their potential. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and effective English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, following the school’s curriculum and schemes of work. Assess, monitor, and support student progress, providing feedback that helps learners achieve their potential. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes good behaviour, participation, and a love of learning. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and wider school staff to support the academic and personal development of students. Pre-requisites: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching English Language and Literature across KS 3 and 4. Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons. Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills. A commitment to supporting student progress, achievement, and wellbeing. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider English department and school team. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and eligibility to work in the UK.
