Senior Ocean Import Operator

<p><strong>Senior Ocean Import Coordinator &#8211; Witham &#8211; Up to £45,000</strong></p> <p>An exciting opportunity to join a growing deep sea import team within a busy FCL department. This role is suited to a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a minimum of 8 years&#8217; general freight forwarding experience, capable of managing shipments from start to finish.</p> <p><strong>Working Hours</strong></p> <p>Monday to Friday, 8:00am &#8211; 5:00pm</p> <p><strong>Benefits</strong></p> <ul> <li>Salary: £35,000 &#8211; £45,000 (dependent on experience)</li> <li>Company pension scheme</li> <li>Performance-based bonuses</li> <li>Long service awards, including additional holiday entitlement</li> <li>Departmental and company social events</li> <li>Free on-site parking</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Arrange deep sea import bookings</li> <li>Liaise with overseas offices and global partners</li> <li>Manage shipments end-to-end (start to finish)</li> <li>Process sales and purchase documentation</li> <li>Provide FCL quotations to UK clients</li> <li>Quote and manage shipments for FBA (Amazon) clients</li> <li>Maintain and update client bookings and pricing within shared systems</li> <li>Manage and develop key accounts</li> <li>Raise and process invoices</li> <li>Handle direct client accounts and relationships</li> <li>Resolve customer queries and complaints efficiently, in line with company procedures</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of Ocean imports, including FCL for a UK based freight forwarder</li> <li>Min. 8 years in freight forwarding</li> <li>Experience managing shipments from start to finish</li> <li>Experience working with overseas agents and partners</li> <li>Ability to quote and price FCL shipments</li> <li>Experience managing key accounts and direct client relationships</li> <li>Familiarity with FBA (Amazon) shipments</li> <li>Strong administrative and organisational skills</li> <li>Ability to resolve customer queries and complaints effectively</li> <li>Proficiency in freight systems and Microsoft Office</li> </ul> <p>WR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
