Management Accountant

I am partnering exclusively with a high-tech manufacturing business in Cambridge as they look to hire a new Management Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, innovative organisation operating at the cutting edge of its sector. Working closely with both the Financial Controller and Managing Director, you will play a key role in delivering meaningful financial insight that drives performance across the business. The company offers a fantastic working environment, strong team culture and a clear focus on quality and continuous improvement. Key DutiesPreparation of weekly and monthly accounts, including variance analysis and commentarySupporting rolling forecasts and explaining variances against targetsMonth-end journals and balance sheet review and reconciliationWorking capital reporting and short-term cash flow forecastingStrengthening financial controls and identifying process improvementsBusiness partnering with operational teams to improve performanceLiaising with group functions and external auditors where required Key Experience RequiredPrevious experience in a Management Accountant roleA naturally inquisitive mindset – to understand the how and why behind the processStrong month-end and reporting experienceForecasting and variance analysis skillsExperience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skillsConfident communicator able to work with non-finance stakeholders What’s in it for You?Salary up to £45,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)Excellent benefits package – including life assurance, income protection, private medical, free EV charging on site and more!A collaborative and supportive cultureThe opportunity to make a visible impact within a high-tech manufacturing environment This is a fully office based role, working full time Monday to Friday. If you’re looking for a hands-on, fast-paced role in an innovative Cambridge business, I’d love to hear from you.
