Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Pennsylvania-licensed electrophysiology nurse practitioners for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity at a hospital-based cardiology department. This role involves supporting electrophysiology procedures, managing adult patients, and working within a hospital environment with a dedicated clinical team, utilizing EPIC EMR, and providing consistent coverage Monday through Thursday.

  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (flexible)
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Support electrophysiology procedures including pacemaker and ICD implants, loop recorder placements, and ablations (AVN, SVT, AFLUTTER)
  • Manage patients aged 18-100 in a hospital setting
  • Support interventional cardiology procedures (LHC, PCI, balloon angioplasty, balloon pump) as needed
  • Use EPIC EMR for documentation and orders
  • Supportive clinical team environment in a 270-bed hospital

Schedule Details

  • Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Four days per week, 10-hour shifts
  • Schedule flexibility within shift hours

Clinical Scope

  • Support electrophysiology department activities
  • Perform or assist with pacemaker and ICD implants
  • Conduct or support loop recorder procedures
  • Assist with ablations (AVN, SVT, AFLUTTER)
  • Post-operative management of electrophysiology patients
  • Manage adult patients aged 18-100
  • Document patient care in EPIC EMR
  • Support interventional cardiology procedures as needed

Practice Environment
This opportunity is based within a full-service hospital serving the greater Chambersburg region. Providers will work alongside experienced clinical staff in a structured electrophysiology department, supporting a patient volume of approximately 18 patients daily. The hospital has 270 beds and utilizes EPIC EMR across all workflows.

Requirements

  • Valid Pennsylvania license
  • Board certification as NP or PA
  • DEA registration
  • ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
