BMS Engineer | Leading University | Long-Term Contract
We’re working exclusively with a prestigious London university to recruit an experienced BMS Engineer to support multiple building systems projects across their estate.
💷 Pay: £36.46 per hour (Outside IR35)
⏳ Duration: 6–12 months
📍 Location: London (Hybrid)
About the Role
The BMS Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the effective performance, optimisation and maintenance of Building Management Systems across a diverse and complex university estate.
What You’ll Be Doing
Monitoring, maintaining and optimising the BMS and control systems across campus
Supporting project delivery on BMS upgrades, integrations and system improvements
Working closely with M&E teams, contractors and stakeholders
Diagnosing system faults and implementing effective solutions
Assisting with reporting on system performance, energy efficiency and compliance
Coordinating with external service providers and ensuring works meet standards
What We’re Looking For
✅ Strong experience with BMS systems (Trend, Siemens, Honeywell or similar)
✅ Understanding of HVAC, M&E services and building controls
✅ Ability to work across multiple sites and manage system-related projects
✅ Experience in public sector or large, complex estates is highly desirable
✅ Relevant technical qualifications or equivalent hands‑on BMS experience
