Mechanical Analysis Engineer
McLeansville, NC
Pay Estimated: $43.62-$48.62/Hour
Ability to Obtain a Secret Clearance

This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Perform structural, dynamic, and shock analysis of undersea hardware
Utilize ANSYS and MATLAB for modeling, simulation, and validation
Conduct Shock Grade B analysis in accordance with DoD requirements
Develop and maintain mechanical models and engineering drawings using CAD tools
Apply expertise in materials, metallurgy, and material specifications to ensure design compliance
Support prototype development, fabrication, and test activities
Ensure designs meet technical, government, and industry standards
Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers on analysis tools and methodologies
Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance (active clearance preferred)
2+ years of job-related experience, OR Master’s degree with 6+ months of related experience
ANSYS and MATLAB for engineering analysis
Shock analysis (Grade B preferred)
Knowledge of materials and metallurgy
CAD modeling and mechanical drawing development
Understanding of manufacturing, fabrication methods, and applicable government/industry standards
On-site role supporting undersea defense programs
