Electromechanical Maintenance Technician At Charter Casting, our maintenance team is the backbone of our operation, keeping everything running smoothly. They tackle a variety of challenges, from installing and maintaining equipment to troubleshooting complex problems and executing preventive maintenance plans. 3 Positions Available at Charter Casting — 2900 E Richmond St, Shawano, WI 54166 Weekend Shift Days | 7am to 7pm | Friday-Sunday 2nd shift | 2pm - 12am | Monday - Thursday 3rd shift | 9pm-7am | Monday - Thursday Why you’ll love it here: Pay: Starting from $75k per year based on $36/hr and 40 hour work week (salary may change based on experience) $5,000 HIRING BONUS after 90 days We pay weekly! Safety: Work in an environment committed to safety and improvement Stability: Join an established Midwest company with four generations of family ownership - celebrating 90 years in 2026 What you'll do: Problem solve, troubleshoot, modify, adjust, and correct electromechanical issues and equipment. Perform regular and preventative maintenance (PMs) on electromechanical equipment. Perform inspections daily to determine startup problems. Verify part dimensions conform to provided specifications. Repair and calibrate pneumatic assemblies Install, maintain, and troubleshoot hydraulic systems. Diagnose issues with sophisticated control systems and employ tactics to resolve them effectively. Maintain knowledge of drawings, blueprints, schematics, and inspection manuals. Fabricate replacements for temporary fixes. Maintain parts and equipment inventory by properly checking parts in and out of the CMMS. Support Electromechanical Technician I team members in the execution of the electromechanical technician learning program. Actively provide improvement ideas to the electromechanical technician learning program. Ensure all control systems of the production lines are operating according to procedures and minimize production down time. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot facility HVAC systems. Update wiring on systems, equipment, machines, and other apparatus. Wire new systems, equipment, machines, and other apparatus. Ensure all electromechanical systems, equipment, machines, and other apparatus are safe for operation. Utilize lean principles and tools to troubleshoot, countermeasure, and improve processes and equipment. Follow all plant safety rules; including locking out of all plant equipment so that it is safe to work on; use safety equipment appropriate for the job; be aware of the safety of others. What you bring: High School Diploma or GED - We can help with our free GED program. Accredited electrical apprenticeship, two years technical training with two plus years’ industrial electromechanical experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in reading and interpreting complex documents such as wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, instructions, safety rules, code books and specifications. Ability to inspect electrical systems, equipment, and machines for possible problems. Knowledge of medium voltage power distribution systems. Knowledge of drives, controls, motion controllers, PLCs, and/or motors. Basic knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic commissioning and troubleshooting experience. Experience in working with electrical codes and regulations, electronic controls and devices and electrical/electronic theory. Experience operating electrical and mechanical testing equipment. Ability to use a wide variety of metal working, hand, and power equipment. Experience using precision measuring equipment and welding / torch equipment. Ability to use math skills including fractions, percentages, geometry, and probability. Ability to read and understand technical procedures. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well with other employees. Proficient in basic computer skills. Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures. Physical Requirements: Frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, bending, lifting up to 60 lbs., and ability to meet physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation. Nice to have: Journeyman's card Experience in foundry or metals Experience commissioning and troubleshooting Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs and Drives. Proven expertise in AC/DC motor maintenance HVAC Certification or maintenance experience Industrial electrical troubleshooting, and hydraulics & pneumatics. Relevant industry certifications preferred.
