About the Role
This Operations Support Coordinator role in Warrington sits at the heart of a highly regulated engineering environment, supporting day‑to‑day operations, workforce assurance and onboarding activity across a major programme. It is an initial 12 month contract position working for a leading Engineering Consultancy on Birchwood Park.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this is a trusted, visible role for someone who enjoys bringing structure, accuracy and momentum to complex operations. You’ll work closely with discipline leads, security teams and recruitment partners to ensure people, processes and data are aligned and compliant.
This role goes beyond traditional administration. You’ll be involved in workforce planning, compliance, inductions and stakeholder coordination, with exposure to senior leaders and customers.
What you’ll be doing
Maintaining accurate workforce data, training records and SQEP assurance using Excel (with potential future exposure to Power BI)
Supporting recruitment, onboarding and security processes in line with internal and regulatory requirements
Acting as a key point of contact for new starters, including delivering office inductions
Working with discipline leads to support workforce planning and ensure new starters are fully embedded
Coordinating with security and internal support functions to keep information current and compliant
Liaising proactively with recruitment teams and agencies
Handling sensitive commercial and personal information with discretion
Deputising for the Operations Manager at meetings when required
Working confidently under time pressure in a fast‑moving, regulated environment
What we’re looking for
Experience in an operations, coordination or regulated office environment
Strong Excel and general MS Office capability
Highly organised, detail‑focused and proactive
Comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels
Able to work with minimal supervision and adapt quickly to change
Trusted, discreet and professional
Why this role
Varied, operationally meaningful work rather than task‑only admin
Clear development opportunities within operations and programme delivery
A role with visibility, responsibility and influence
Hybrid working with a strong on‑site team presence (minimum 3 days onsite)
