<p>The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic engineering, with a preference for those familiar with Phoenix and Arizona drainage regulations.</p>
<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
<li>Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using standard software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-RAS 2D, HEC-HMS, and FLO-2D</li>
<li>Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic studies, drainage reports, and FEMA permitting documents</li>
<li>Apply jurisdictional drainage regulations to project designs and construction documents</li>
<li>Supervise the creation of drainage design plans and construction drawings using AutoCAD</li>
<li>Analyze data and generate exhibits using ArcGIS and QGIS</li>
<li>Work with diverse engineering teams on public infrastructure and flood control projects</li>
<li>Provide guidance to EIT staff on hydrologic and hydraulic engineering principles</li>
<li>Conduct field/site visits and document observations</li>
<li>Assist in producing technical reports, presentations, and supporting visuals</li>
</ul>
<h2>Project Management</h2>
<ul>
<li>Support successful project outcomes through effective planning, coordination, and execution</li>
<li>Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality standards</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with internal quality management processes and project workflows</li>
<li>Collaborate with project managers and principals to optimize resource allocation</li>
<li>Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to operational efficiency</li>
<li>Ensure timely, within budget, and high-quality project delivery</li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li>Professional Engineer (PE) license required, preferably in Arizona</li>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)</li>
<li>Minimum 5 years of drainage engineering experience</li>
<li>Experience with public infrastructure and flood control projects is advantageous</li>
<li>Proficient in:
<ul>
<li>HEC-RAS</li>
<li>HEC-RAS 2D</li>
<li>HEC-HMS</li>
<li>FLO-2D</li>
<li>AutoCAD</li>
<li>ArcGIS and QGIS</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Strong in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li>
<li>Excellent communication, organizational, and technical writing skills</li>
<li>Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting</li>
<li>Deep understanding of construction methods, engineering documentation, and technical specifications</li>
<li>Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving abilities</li>
