Please contact Sirius today for more information.  Location: Carlsbad, CA  Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00/8:00 AM – 4:00/5:00 PM Position Overview We are seeking a safety-focused Research Lab Technician to support the M4Ward™ program in Carlsbad. This role works closely with R&D, Production, Quality Control, and Engineering teams to ensure proper container cleaning, chemical handling, and lab maintenance. Safety is the top priority in this position. Key Responsibilities Empty and inspect chemical containers Clean containers, valves, and parts that previously held chemicals Maintain and support chemical inventory Assist with equipment maintenance Maintain a clean and organized lab environment through 6S (continuous improvement) practices Read and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and safety procedures at all times Physical Requirements Must be clean shaven to wear a full-face air-purifying respirator Wear chemical-resistant apron and required PPE Lift up to 50 pounds Stand, sit, or walk for up to 8 hours per shift Raise arms up to or above a 90-degree angle Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of relevant experience  OR Associate’s Degree (Chemistry or related field) with 1–3 years of experience  OR Bachelor’s Degree (Chemistry or related science) with 1+ year of experience Preferred Qualifications Prior chemistry lab experience handling organic and inorganic materials, acids, and bases Experience safely handling and moving containers up to 50 pounds Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets and technical drawings Experience working in gloveboxes, chemical fume hoods, and acid sinks Strong written and verbal communication skills SAP experience a plus Strong attention to detail with a safety-first mindset Sirius Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer.
