THE COMPANY:
This organisation is currently undergoing a digital transformation, with a strong focus on improving how operational data is utilised across the business. They are looking for a BI Developer to help define "what good looks like" by connecting operational data to the wider business, improving forecasting capabilities, and identifying opportunities to drive efficiency through better reporting and potential automation.
THE ROLE:
You will play a key role in bringing together disparate data sources (including Zendesk and internal back-office systems) to create a unified and accessible data view. Your key responsibilities will include:
Bringing together and integrating operational data with the wider business
Building and maintaining robust data pipelines
Developing standardised data models using SQL and dbt
Identifying and resolving data quality issues, including duplicates
Creating clear, actionable reports for non-technical stakeholders
Building dashboards and reports on Lightdash
Supporting and enhancing Lightdash usage
Collaborating with Ops, Data, Product, and senior stakeholders including the CFO
Identifying opportunities for automation and improved efficiency
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
Strong experience as a BI Developer / Analytics Engineer / Data Engineer
Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with dbt
Experience with Lightdash or Looker
Experience building data pipelines and data models
Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate with non-technical teams
Experience working with operational or business process data
Desirable:
Experience with Zendesk or similar customer/operations platforms
Familiarity with Airflow
Python experience
Experience working with operational data
