About the Role

Job Description: MANUFACTURING ENGINEER Amrep Manufacturing Company, LLC (a Wastequip company) seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in Ontario, CA to develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods according to product specifications and quality standards. Specific duties include: (i) performing research, design and development of manufacturing engineering processes, including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment; (ii) preparing and maintaining detailed engineering layouts of buildings and equipment; (iii) coordinating the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results; (iv) designing and developing tests and/or sources and cost justifications for various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods; (v) performing product/process engineering analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency improvement; and (vi) representing manufacturing engineering on cross-functional teams. Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a directly related engineering discipline and six (6) months of experience in mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment. Must have any experience (can be concurrent) with: (i) SolidWorks CAD Modeling/Drawings; (ii) DraftSight; (iii) FEA (Finite Element Analysis); and (iv) performing calculations with large volumes of numerical data in Excel to analyze and streamline manufacturing processes and conduct assembly and part cost analysis to increase overall profitability. Must also have knowledge of (through any completed university-level coursework, seminars, workshops, or real-world, hands-on experience) the following: (i) CNC machines; (ii) manual lathes; and (iii) manual mills, sheet metal fabrication, and Mig welding.
