Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Schedule
- Weekends required (Saturday & Sunday every week)
- Full-time weekday availability required for 3 weeks of initial training
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Position Overview
- Family Nurse Practitioners in this role deliver evidence-based, family-focused primary care to a defined patient panel
- Providers work in collaboration with a dedicated clinical care team focused on improving patient outcomes through coordinated care delivery
- Role reports directly to the Practice Manager
- Strong emphasis on continuity of care, preventive health, and chronic disease management
FNP Requirement (Critical)
- ACTIVE FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER (FNP) CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED
- Candidates without FNP certification will not be considered
- Must have formal Family Nurse Practitioner education and national board certification
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Family and Primary Care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions
- Conduct routine patient examinations and manage ongoing care plans
- Deliver health counseling, preventive care education, and wellness guidance
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate
- Coordinate care with physicians and clinical team members to ensure comprehensive treatment planning
- Encourage patient engagement in chronic disease management and preventive health services
- Support behavioral health screening and wellness initiatives
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Administrative Duties
- Open and close clinic operations as scheduled
- Maintain clinical inventory and supply management
- Verify insurance and collect patient payments
- Complete patient follow-ups and documentation in EMR systems
- Maintain a clean, compliant, and safe clinical environment
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Requirements
- Minimum 1 year recent Primary Care, Family Medicine, or Urgent Care experience required
- Active FNP certification required
- Active South Carolina NP/APRN license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner program)
- National Board Certification required
- Strong understanding of chronic disease management and quality metrics
- Ability to work independently in a structured clinical care team model
- Strong communication and documentation skills (verbal, written, electronic)
- Proficiency with EMR and healthcare systems
- Ability to work every weekend schedule consistently
- Willingness to complete required onboarding/training period
