Deputy Quality Manager (QA)

Are you an experienced Quality professional ready to step up into a more senior role? We’re working with a well-established, growing manufacturing business looking for a Deputy to the Quality Manager to play a key role in maintaining and improving their Quality Management System. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a hands-on, varied role where you’ll have real influence across quality, compliance, and continuous improvement. What you’ll be doing: Supporting and deputising for the Quality Manager across all QA/QC activities Planning and delivering internal audits across the business Managing supplier quality, including KPIs, approvals, and corrective actions Leading investigations into non-conformances, returns, and complaints (8D reporting) Maintaining and improving the QMS and document control systems Supporting customer and external audits (e.g. ISO / BSI) Overseeing calibration systems and inspection processes Carrying out goods-in, in-process, and final inspections when required Driving continuous improvement and risk-based thinking What we’re looking for: Strong working knowledge of ISO9001:2015 (EN9120 desirable) Qualified ISO internal auditor Background in electro-mechanical or manufacturing environments Experience with inspection tools and calibration systems Confident handling supplier quality and customer-facing issues Analytical approach to problem solving (8D investigations) Strong communication skills and attention to detail Good IT skills (Microsoft Office) Why apply?
