We are very excited to have our in-house BCBAs, Emily McHardy present Joint Attention and Play: Foundations and Effective ABA. This free CE opportunity is brought to you by the ABS Kids Learning Department and is open to all BCBAs and BATs. Earn 1 LRN CE.
About Your Host
Emily’s background includes behavior support and skill acquisition across the lifespan with children, adolescents, and adults with an Autism diagnosis or intellectual disability. Her experience encourages a holistic and life-long view of how ABA impacts various stages of life. Emily has been trained in various skill assessment programs, with a Level 1 Certificate in PEAK and clinical training using the EFL, AFLS, ABLLS, and VBMAPP. Additionally, Emily has a special interest in increasing naturalistic and functional learning. This has resulted in attending various conferences and CEUs that focus on improving these skills by focusing on how joint attention, relational frame, and derived relations can increase developmental learning processes.

CE Summary:
Emily McHardy, BCBA, will be presenting on Joint Attention and Play: Influence on Effective ABA. She will discuss the developmental importance of joint attention, how we teach it in ABA, and how to use strategies to empower RBTs to use the power of joint attention to increase efficacy of treatment.
