About the Role
The Logistics Coordinator is a hands-on position at the centre of the operation, ensuring smooth and accurate stock control across all manufacturing processes. You will oversee raw material and work-in-progress (WIP) levels, arrange replenishment, coordinate the movement of goods between departments, and record all related transactions in the ERP system to keep production running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• Review new customer order requirements and issue works order documentation accurately and on time
• Monitor and replenish material stocks for manufacturing teams
• Organise collection and delivery of WIP between production functions
• Identify, control, and report any defects
• Improve stock accuracy and optimise stocking levels
• Carry out material preparation and fabrication tasks when required
• Work closely with the manufacturing team to maintain a smooth workflow
• Continuously seek ways to improve quality, performance, and efficiency
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
• GCSE level education or equivalent
• Proven experience managing physical stock movements in a manufacturing environment
• Confident using ERP systems for stock transactions
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work independently
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• “Can-do” attitude with ownership of tasks from start to finish
• High attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Experience with Kanban systems is an advantage
