<p>Accounts Assistant – £30,000–£32,000 – Diss (Office Based)</p>
<p>A long-established and steadily growing organisation with multiple UK locations is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join its friendly finance team at its Diss headquarters. This is a great opportunity to build your experience within a sizeable business that continues to expand and invest in its people.</p>
<p>Reporting to the Management Accountant, you’ll become part of a supportive team and take ownership of a range of day-to-day finance activities that help keep operations running smoothly.</p>
<p>The Role</p>
<p>You’ll be involved in a broad mix of transactional and reconciliation work, including:</p>
<ul>
<li>Processing daily purchase and sales invoices</li>
<li>Matching and reconciling card transactions</li>
<li>Completing daily bank reconciliations</li>
<li>Handling queries related to accounts</li>
<li>Posting and allocating incoming payments</li>
<li>Managing cheque payments</li>
<li>Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies</li>
</ul>
<p>This is a full-time, office-based role working 9am–5:30pm.</p>
<p>About You</p>
<p>We’re looking for someone accurate, organised and confident working with numbers. You’ll ideally have:</p>
<ul>
<li>AAT or part-qualified ACCA (an advantage but not essential)</li>
<li>A solid understanding of bookkeeping or accounting practices</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset</li>
<li>Competent IT skills, including Sage 50 and Excel</li>
<li>A collaborative nature paired with the ability to use your initiative</li>
<li>A focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining high levels of accuracy</li>
</ul>
