Post 16 SEN Teaching Assistant Henley in Arden September 2026

About the role:

Justteachers are recruiting for a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist Post-16 provision in Henley-in-Arden. This rewarding full-time opportunity begins in September 2026 and focuses on supporting young adults preparing for greater independence and future employment.

The setting supports learners with Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), PMLD and complex communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support learners during vocational and life skills sessions.
• Encourage independence and confidence in daily living activities.
• Assist with communication using visual aids and alternative communication methods.
• Provide personal care support where required.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Work alongside teachers, therapists and support staff.

Pre-requisites:

• Experience working with young people with additional needs is desirable.
• Caring, patient and empathetic approach.
• Confidence supporting learners with complex needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to undertake training in areas such as manual handling or personal care if required.
