The SMX Space and Intelligence (S&I) Business Unit (BU) is on the ground floor across the future remote sensing ecosystem for all orbital regimes (LEO, MEO, HEO, and GEO). <div class="textLayer" data-main-rotation="0">We are seeking a <strong>Software Engineer </strong>with strong C++ and Unreal Engine skills and an interest in people management to work on the FORGE MDPAP program as part of the Visualization subsystem team.</div>

<div class="textLayer" data-main-rotation="0"><strong>Position is on-site in Boulder, CO 5 days per week.</strong></div>

<p><strong>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Design, implement, and maintain high-quality software aligned with program and project objectives.</li>
<li>Work independently and collaboratively with the development team to deliver complex features end to end.</li>
<li>Contribute to containerized, distributed microservice architectures, including development, deployment, and testing.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Required Skills & Experience</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li>This position requires an active Interim DoD Secret Clearance. Clearance required: Active DoD Secret. Due to the clearance requirement, U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidate must also participate in a background screen.</li>
<li>5+ years of professional hands-on experience as a Software Engineer using C++.</li>
<li>Proficient in Unreal Engine, including language features and best practices.</li>
<li>Professional experience working in Linux environments.</li>
<li>Ability to work onsite in Boulder, CO 5 days per week.</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication and attention to detail skills.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span data-contrast="auto">Desired Skills & Experience</span></strong><span data-ccp-props="{"335559739":0}"> </span></p>
<ul>
<li>Familiarity with other programming languages such as Python or Javascript/Typescript</li>
<li>Experience with or interest in people management (up to 5 direct reports).</li>
<li>Experience with Agile software development methodology and tools such as Jira and Confluence.</li>
<li>Familiarity with Gitlab, Gitlab Runner, Docker, Kubernetes and Helm Charts.</li>
<li>Domain experience with remote sensing systems or ground architectures, especially experience with OPIR sensor processing.</li>
<li>Experience working on “badge-less” engineering teams on a large National security contract.</li>
</ul>
