We are recruiting Trainee Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming primary and secondary schools across Wimbledon, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, Speech and Language needs, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), and other learning difficulties.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, career changers, or anyone considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, or SEND support.

About the role:

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available
• September 2026 start
• £85 per day
• Work across a range of primary and secondary schools in Wimbledon
• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Gain experience supporting children with a variety of SEND needs
• Opportunities to work on a supply basis or secure a long-term placement
• Receive a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification through Creative Education
• Learn on the job while being supported by experienced school staff
• Access over 300 online CPD courses, including Phonics, Behaviour Management, Safeguarding, SEND, Classroom Practice and much more

About you:

• Passionate about supporting children and young people
• Patient, caring and resilient
• Reliable and enthusiastic with a positive attitude
• Proactive and willing to learn
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Previous experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential
• Experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant or through personal experience of SEND is welcomed
• A driving licence is advantageous but not essential

The Early Career Teaching Assistant Programme

Our programme combines practical school-based experience with a comprehensive CPD programme developed by experienced educational professionals and our training partner, Creative Education.
