<p>Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> London (Covent Garden base)<br>Must be flexible to travel to Hemel Hempstead, Milton Keynes and Loughborough when required<br><strong>Reports to:</strong> Pareto FM Lead Engineer<br><strong>Hours:</strong> 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday<br><strong>Salary:</strong> £42,000 + paid travel to sites outside Covent Garden<br><strong>On-call:</strong> Approx. 1 week per month</p><hr><h2>The Opportunity</h2><p>Pareto FM are looking for a proactive, hands-on Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer to join our team, primarily supporting a key London site in Covent Garden, with occasional travel to additional locations.</p><p>This is a varied, front-line engineering role suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, working closely with clients, and taking ownership of site standards. You’ll be the first point of response for M&amp;E and fabric issues, ensuring maintenance is delivered safely, professionally, and with minimal disruption to the client.</p><p>If you take pride in your work, enjoy autonomy, and want to be part of a supportive and professional FM team — this could be the role for you.</p><hr><h2>What You’ll Be Doing</h2><ul><li><p>Responding to maintenance requests from initial submission through to completion, ensuring clear communication with the client and FM team</p></li><li><p>Acting as the first line of response for M&amp;E and fabric-related issues</p></li><li><p>Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure building systems operate effectively</p></li><li><p>Completing statutory compliance tasks across facility services</p></li><li><p>Updating and maintaining records via Infraspeak CAFM system</p></li><li><p>Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard, within budget and in line with client expectations</p></li><li><p>Supporting and managing subcontractors for routine and reactive works, ensuring RAMS compliance and quality assurance</p></li><li><p>Providing technical M&amp;E advice and guidance to the client where required</p></li><li><p>Liaising with project teams and contributing technical insight to ongoing works</p></li><li><p>Supporting wider site initiatives including health &amp; safety, risk assessments, utilities, security and resilience planning</p></li><li><p>Communicating planned works clearly to the client to minimise service disruption</p></li><li><p>Identifying opportunities for innovation and system improvements</p></li><li><p>Supporting wider FM functions during periods of resource constraint</p></li><li><p>Participating in the on-call rota (approximately one week per month)</p></li></ul><hr><h2>What We’re Looking For</h2><ul><li><p>Strong M&amp;E maintenance background within a commercial environment</p></li><li><p>Confident fault finder and independent problem solver</p></li><li><p>Experience delivering both PPM and reactive maintenance</p></li><li><p>Comfortable managing contractors and ensuring safe systems of work</p></li><li><p>IT confident, able to update CAFM systems and digital records</p></li><li><p>Professional, reliable and client-focused</p></li><li><p>Flexible and willing to support additional sites when required</p></li><li><p>A team player with the ability to build strong working relationships</p></li></ul><hr><h2>The Right Person</h2><p>You’ll take pride in delivering a high-quality service.<br>You’ll be punctual, dependable and adaptable.<br>You’ll bring a “can do” mindset and be willing to step in where needed.<br>You’ll represent Pareto FM professionally at all times.</p>
