Job Description
- Plan and execute internal audits, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Identify potential risks and recommend effective solutions to mitigate them.
- Prepare detailed audit reports for management with clear findings and suggestions.
- Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure timely action.
- Collaborate with various teams to promote best practices and process improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Support the organisation in achieving its strategic objectives through effective auditing.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, as needed.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Internal Auditor should have:
- Professional qualifications in accounting or auditing (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in internal auditing, ideally within the not-for-profit sector.
- Good understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying risks and solutions.
