About the Role
Graduate Medical Education
Graduate Medical Education is more than just training. It’s about building confident, compassionate physicians ready to serve their communities. We are proud to offer two residency programs, Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine.
Additionally, we have rotations for West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine students for immersive, hands-on learning guided by experienced faculty.
Our focus is on developing clinical excellence, ethical practice, and the personal growth needed to thrive in healthcare.
Family Medicine Residency

Emergency Medicine Residency
Fast-paced, hands-on experience with expert mentorship—train to handle anything, from emergencies to critical trauma.
Clinical Student Rotations
Gain real-world clinical experience tailored to your goals, with supportive faculty and diverse rotation opportunities.
Life in Marietta

Graduate Medical Staff
The mission of Memorial Health System’s Graduate Medical Education Department (GME) is to train outstanding leaders in every field of medicine. This will be accomplished by providing graduate medical education programs that enable osteopathic and allopathic students, interns and residents the opportunity to develop outstanding clinical and professional expertise under the guidance and supervision of our faculty and staff. The GME department focuses on clinical experiences that emphasize excellence, compassion, and ethics at the pre- and postdoctoral levels. Trainees will receive personal attention to ensure that ACGME core competencies have been met.
