Intermediate Lab Technician<p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p>Intermediate Lab Technician</p><p></p><p><b>Shift and Hours:</b><span> 1st</span> shift 8am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday; Saturdays and/or overtime if needed.</p><p></p><p><b>Pay:</b><span> </span>$20.80 - $21.63 per hour, based on experience.</p><p></p><p>Job Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Samples and analyzes raw materials as described in the Quality Assurance Program. </li><li>Properly uses the laboratory equipment at Dodge City, analyzing raw materials based on procedures listed for each type of material.</li><li>Conducts proper calibration of laboratory equipment and designated process control equipment.</li><li>Conducts QC inspections of packaging line at start up (and as needed) of packaging campaigns.</li><li>Maintains familiarity with the chemical characteristics of materials prior to contact with them, as well as the reactions of mixtures of these chemicals, with special emphasis on maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and others.</li><li>Maintains the laboratory ensuring a clean and safe work environment and properly functioning analytical equipment.</li></ul><ul><li>Enters the correct material concentrations in EFG (batch sheet) to assist formulators as released raw materials are staged for use.</li><li>Assists in new product introductions at Dodge City to ensure, laboratory safety protocols have been reviewed, lab batches have been run, EFGs are prepared and ready.</li><li>Assists the Lab Leader in communicating the results of new product introduction to Omnium Technical Management.</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p></p><p>Required Qualifications:</p><ul><li><b><i>Computer literate </i></b></li><li><b><i>High school diploma or GED</i></b></li><li><b><i>Have working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint   </i></b></li><li><b><i>Have good verbal and written communication skills </i></b></li><li><b><i>Have basic knowledge of laboratory safety and good laboratory practices</i></b></li><li><b><i>Attention to detail</i></b></li></ul><p></p><p><span><b><i>Preferred Qualifications:</i></b></span></p><ul><li><b><i>Agriculture/chemistry background.</i></b></li><li><b><i>Quality experience </i></b></li><li><b><i>4-yr degree in Chemistry</i></b></li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b>About Land O'Lakes, Inc.</b></p><p></p><p>Join us and be part of a Fortune 250, farmer- and member-owned cooperative that is reimagining the business of food.
