Setting Sail for Success:
MSC Cruises Training Program
Training Before Boarding
At MSC Cruises, we believe that pre-boarding training is essential for preparing you for life at sea and complements the mandatory STCW certification required for maritime service.
Our comprehensive pre-boarding training programs are designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge needed for your role. We conduct global pre-embarkation hospitality trainings at several of our training schools located in different countries.
Partnerships
Our dedicated training academies and partnerships with maritime institutions ensure that you feel confident and ready to embark on your journey with us.
These institutions offer specialised training courses that provide technical skills and a deep understanding of the unique environment of working onboard.
Training Onboard
At MSC Cruises, we prioritise continuous learning and professional development.
Once on board, you will have access to training sessions focused on ship operations and hospitality. These include role-specific training and leadership development. We also provide technical training from internal experts and external specialists. Safety is a top priority, with emergency drills and exercises.
Language Skills
English is a primary requirement at MSC Cruises. We set a minimum standard based on internationally recognised Common European Framework language evaluation system (CEFR).
Depending on your funcion, your English language proficiency will be assessed against this framework during the recruitment process. Additionally, we offer online language programmes to enhance your communication skills.
