Purpose of the Role
We are currently recruiting for four Vehicle Electricians to join our growing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering electrical updates and commissioning activities across both ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) platforms. Working at the forefront of evolving vehicle technology, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our vehicles meet the highest standards of quality, performance and safety.
Your responsibilities will include following standardised work procedures, carrying out electrical updates, testing and rectification, and conducting in-depth investigations into complex electrical faults. You’ll apply structured root cause analysis to diagnose and resolve technical issues, contributing to continuous improvement and technical excellence.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled electrician who thrives in a precision-driven, technically advanced automotive environment. Your main responsibilities include;
Using software applications to update vehicles to required software levels
Using production test equipment to confirm the electrical condition of vehicles
Rectification of electrical issues to achieve OK test status
Electrical fault finding on vehicles
Use of laptops and software to commission / align vehicle electrical systems
Understanding failure modes, test results, fault codes and potential causes
Lead or support complex issue resolution with evidence of solution/containment
Support requests for overtime as required, to achieve daily objectives
Actively share information and analysis data within the Team to increase / improve quality, training and transparency of electrical issues
Maintain good 5s controls – ownership within your work area
Ability to train and coach other colleagues on specific techniques and methods for electrical rectification

About you – Skills and Experience
The successful applicants will have experience working within a similar electrical role with a strong focus on achieving required objectives. We welcome all applicants from within the Automotive industry however we also welcome and encourage applicants from similar industries with experience in electrical fault finding, rectification methods, tools and systems and the ability to think outside the box when it comes to technical problem solving of a complex nature.
Strong general working knowledge of electrical part design, manufacture and assembly of Electrical Distribution Systems
Design for Manufacture & Assembly methodologies for electrical systems
Proven experience working as an Automotive or qualified electrician
Logical approach to problem identification and resolution for electrical issues of a complex nature
Programming knowledge (coding ECUs etc.)
Knowledge and experience of production-based electrical test equipment
Knowledge and experience of software packages used to commission/align vehicles
Manufacturing Automotive build process knowledge and rework
Demonstrable experience of electrical architecture and the application of diagnostic equipment for different systems
Concerns identification, analysis and resolution experience for issues of a complex electrical nature
Knowledge of Production and Engineering test equipment (VW Group systems e.g. IDEX, VAS, CP Tool, ODIS advantageous)
NVQ level 3 or equivalent relevant experience
