Posted: 10th March 2026 Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum Location: Dorchester Reference: MSZMBAFLS100426 We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Business Analyst & First Line Support professional to join our client’s dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical expertise with business insight to optimise processes, support staff, and ensure Microsoft-based systems run efficiently. You will work hands-on with Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, and Dynamics 365 Business Central, providing first-line support and translating operational needs into practical IT solutions. This role involves collaborating across the business to drive process improvements, support innovation, and deliver real impact. Key Responsibilities Business Analysis: •Support the implementation, administration, and optimisation of Microsoft 365 applications and related systems, including managing permissions and authorisations. •Analyse business processes and operational workflows to identify efficiencies and improvements. •Gather requirements from staff and translate them into actionable IT solutions. •Develop, maintain, and present Power BI dashboards and reports to inform decision-making. •Create and maintain process documentation and training materials. •Collaborate with management and colleagues to support strategic system initiatives. •Support automation initiatives using Power Automate and other Microsoft tools. First-Line IT Support: •Provide day-to-day first-line technical support for staff across the business. •Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Microsoft systems, software, and devices, including onsite hardware and software. •Maintain records of incidents and requests in the IT support tracking system. •Assist with onboarding and training staff on Microsoft tools and workflows. •Act as the primary point of contact for IT and business system enquiries. Innovation & Improvement: •Support projects to integrate new digital tools, enhance reporting, and automate business processes. •Recommend improvements to processes, reporting, and system utilisation to improve organisational efficiency. •Liaise with technical teams to escalate and resolve complex issues efficiently. Skills & Experience: •Proven experience in Office 365 first-line support, SharePoint administration, and Power BI reporting. •Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central or other ERP systems preferred. •Strong business analysis and process improvement skills, with attention to detail. •Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical staff. •Microsoft qualifications or equivalent experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power BI, Power Automate. •Knowledge or experience with standards such as Cyber Essentials Plus, ISO27001, ISO9001, or regulations like Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is a plus. •Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. •Strong troubleshooting skills and technical acumen.
