Area Operations Manager

Overview:
Hands – on Area Operations Manager for multiple sand & gravel mining operations with wet and dry manufacturing plants.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily activities of mining and production at numerous locations.
• Manage and allocate personnel, as needed, between sites to maximize material production.
• Recruit, train, and develop equipment operators and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA and company safety policies.
• Oversee fleet maintenance strategy in coordination with maintenance teams and/or vendors.

Requirements:

• Preferred minimum of 5-7 years of mining and material production related experience in the construction aggregates industry.
• Mechanical knowledge of mining equipment and production plants.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
• Self-motivated, goal oriented, and comfortable working independently.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Valid driver’s license.
