Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £150 to £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Long-term | Full-time (5 days per week required)

GSL Education are seeking a nurturing, skilled Nurture Teacher to support students in inclusive, forward-thinking schools across Newcastle upon Tyne. This role is ideal for teachers who are passionate about helping young people develop emotionally, socially, and academically within a supportive environment.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Nurture Teacher:
Creating a warm, safe, and structured learning environment for students with additional social and emotional needs
Delivering differentiated lessons that promote emotional resilience, confidence, and academic progress
Supporting students to develop self-regulation, communication, and social interaction skills
Working closely with SEN teams, pastoral staff, and external agencies
Implementing nurture principles to foster trust, belonging, and secure relationships
Monitoring progress and adapting support to meet individual learner needs
What We’re Looking for in a Nurture Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
Experience working with students with SEMH, behavioural needs, or in nurture/group intervention settings
Exceptional relationship-building, empathy, and communication skills
A calm, patient approach with strong behaviour management
A commitment to working 5 days per week
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
