Maintenance Manager – Plant & Fleet

Job Description:
A leading Ready Mix concrete producer in North Carolina is seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all plant and fleet maintenance operations across the company. This corporate-based leadership role is responsible for managing multiple maintenance facilities, ensuring optimal performance of 100+ Ready Mix trucks and 10+ production plants.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in maintenance management within the Ready Mix industry, with strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate all fleet and plant maintenance activities across multiple locations
• Supervise shop managers, technicians, and maintenance teams
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime
• Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, and vendor relationships
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards
• Provide strategic input on equipment purchases, upgrades, and capital improvements

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet and plant maintenance management within the Ready Mix Concrete Industry
• Strong understanding of Ready Mix trucks, batching systems, and plant operations
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
• Working knowledge of maintenance management systems and industry best practices
