About Our Client

Our client are a well known organisation within the education sector looking for a Head of Facilities to run their campus operations.

Job Description

• Lead and manage estates and facilities operations across multiple sites
• Deliver a safe, sustainable, and fit-for-purpose environment that supports service delivery and future growth
• Develop and implement estates strategies aligned with organisational objectives
• Oversee maintenance, compliance, health & safety, and risk management frameworks
• Manage and monitor budgets, ensuring strong financial control and value for money
• Lead capital projects from planning through to successful delivery
• Collaborate with senior leaders to support strategic planning and organisational development
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and service excellence across estates provision
• Ensure effective systems are in place to resolve building and facilities issues promptly
• Lead, develop, and performance manage estates teams across multiple locations
• Support external audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Identify opportunities to maximise the commercial use of facilities and generate income

The Successful Applicant

Essential:

• Relevant professional qualification or degree (e.g. estates management, surveying, building services, or health & safety)
• Demonstrable experience managing estates functions across multiple sites
• Experience managing large budgets and delivering capital projects
• Strong knowledge of estates management, health & safety, and relevant legislation
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive high performance
• Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills

Desirable:

• Management, coaching, or mentoring qualification
• Experience within an education or public sector environment
• Experience of continuous improvement and service transformation initiatives
