About the Role
About the role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a friendly primary school in Brierfield from September 2026 . This is a part-time, temporary position working 3 days per week on an ongoing long-term supply basis , teaching a Year 1 class and delivering engaging lessons that support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development. This welcoming school is known for its nurturing ethos, supportive staff team and commitment to providing an inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum. Assess, monitor and record pupil progress to support attainment and development. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence. Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to support pupil outcomes. Maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and classroom practice. Pre-requisites: Relevant teaching qualifications, including Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Proven experience of teaching within Key Stage 1, preferably in Year 1. Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, including phonics and early literacy development.
