Middlesbrough Council are recruiting Qualified Social Workers across Adult Social Care teamsIf you are an experienced Social Worker looking for your next opportunity, Middlesbrough are currently hiring across multiple Adult Social Care teams, offering varied and rewarding roles supporting adults with diverse needs.
Role 1: Qualified Social Worker - West Locality TeamJoin the West Locality Team and work in a supportive, established service focused on delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake strengths-based assessments under the Care Act 2014
Deliver trauma-informed and person-centred practice
Support adults with a wide range of needs including:Autism
Physical disabilities
Learning difficulties
Acquired brain injuries
Addiction and complex trauma
Develop outcome-focused care and support plans
Promote independence and wellbeing
Working EnvironmentHybrid working (home and Fountain Court office)
Collaborative, experienced team
Close partnership working with:South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust
Accessing Change Together (ACT) Middlesbrough
Role 2: Qualified Social Worker - Adult Social CareThis role offers the opportunity to contribute to a broad Adult Social Care service, supporting residents across Middlesbrough.
Key ResponsibilitiesComplete comprehensive, person-centred assessments
Identify needs while considering the individual's circumstances and voice
Develop care plans using:Community and informal support networks
Statutory services where required
Safeguard adults from abuse and neglect
Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams
What We're Looking ForAcross both roles, candidates should:
Have strong assessment and decision-making skills
Be able to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines
Be committed to multi-agency working
Be proactive and innovative in practice
Be able to meet travel requirements
Be registered (or eligible) with Social Work England
