Position Title: Teaching Assistant Professor of Marketing Job Category: Academic Staff Employment Type: Regular Job Profile: Teaching Assistant Professor Job Duties: Assistant Teaching Professor position in Marketing beginning Fall 2026. The position is a 4/4 teaching load split between teaching introductory and upper-level Marketing courses in hybrid, online, and in-person modalities, such as Brand Management, Sustainable Marketing, AI in Marketing, and Marketing Strategy. Candidates may have the opportunity to teach in the MBA program and may be asked to teach at branch campuses in the surrounding communities of Wausau and Marshfield. Strong candidates will have a demonstrated ability to teach at the undergraduate and graduate level and have professional experience in marketing. Candidates will be expected to either conduct scholarly research or engage in professional activities related to their field to achieve retention standards and an appropriate accreditation (AACSB) faculty qualification status. Candidates will also be expected to perform service to UW-Stevens Point and the Sentry School. Key Job Responsibilities: May supervise student employees involved in development or delivery of instruction Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction, including assessment of student performance Advises students on academic and career direction within a specific field of study Contributes to the strategic development of curriculum and academic content through various mediums to ensure the integrity of the educational mission of the work unit Contributes to the development of teaching and learning scholarly work including publications and presentations Develops and designs curriculum and instructional material relevant to a course of instruction Collaborates with department faculty and staff to develop teaching strategies relevant to the discipline Department: Sentry School of Business and Economics Compensation: $75,000-$82,275 annually Required Qualifications: Master’s degree (MS, MBA, etc.) in Marketing or in a related field, from an AACSB or equivalently accredited college or university, or other high-quality institution. Preferred Qualifications: Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate level in Marketing or a related field. Prior professional experience in marketing applicable to the position. Demonstrated ability to conduct scholarly research or engage in professional activities. Terms of Employment: This is an academic staff position. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
