Science Teacher - Kendal

About the role:

Justteachers is seeking a Science Teacher to join a vibrant specialist SEND school in the Kendal area on a long‑term basis.
The full‑time post is due to start in September 2026, with shortlisting currently taking place.

The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs to access a broad and engaging curriculum. There is a strong focus on adapting learning to meet individual needs, enabling pupils to develop both academic understanding and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated Science lessons tailored to pupils with SEND
• Supporting pupils with a range of learning, communication and behavioural needs
• Working collaboratively with support staff and therapists to implement personalised learning plans

Pre-requisites:

• Relevant teaching qualifications (QTS or equivalent)
• Proven experience teaching Science, ideally within a SEND or inclusive setting
• Strong knowledge of differentiation, SEND strategies and behaviour support
• Two education or school‑based references
