Job Summary/Overview
This position is responsible for fabricating and welding steel to approve prints and shop orders
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ability to read and execute shop orders, blueprints and cutting sheets.
Operate saws to efficiently cut lengths of steel and aluminum specified by cut sheets.
Use of portable drills and drill bit sharpeners.
Proficiently use TIG welding machines to require specifications.
The competency to use all machines and overhead hoists efficiently and safely.
Capability and willingness to work safely and effectively with others as a team.
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities
Ability to apply concepts used in fabrication, production, and inventory.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals with a tape measure.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret shop orders, blueprints, and procedures.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Comply with company rules, policies, and safety/environmental regulations.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certified TIG Welder. 2 years experience required
Ability to lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs. safely.
