About the Role
Job Description
Financial transactions & ledger management - manage day-to-day ledger postings; billing processes; reconciliation of both client and office accounts; posting disbursements; handling BACS/CHAPS payments; posting cheques received; processing purchase ledger entries
Compliance & reporting - ensuring all financial activities with SRA account rules and AML requirements; checking and submitting VAT returns; preparing month-end and year-end reports; producing monthly reports for fee earners
Client and Team Support - reviewing completion statements and bills; identifying and resolving issues ahead of completion; processing expenses and calculating client interest
The Successful Applicant
We're looking for someone who has:
12 - 24 months legal cashier experience
Confidence, resilience and able to hold their own
Highly organised, reliable and detail-orientated
Able to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Fully compliant with SRA Accounts Rules
Knowledge of Alpha Law or Insight is a bonus, not essential
Someone who values confidentiality and professionalism
Team player with a willingness to learn and develop
