Job Status: Full Time/ Permanent
Location: Remote (with two days per month at Head Office in Wokingham, plus travel across Kent, Essex and London)

Role Description:
Our client is a well-established provider of professional cleaning solutions, delivering high-quality services since 1999. Supporting over 450 clients across southern England-including schools, offices, medical centres, and leisure facilities-they have built a strong reputation for reliability, value, and outstanding customer service, while maintaining a personal, client-focused approach.
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Business Development Manager to play a key role in driving continued growth. You will be responsible for developing a robust pipeline, converting opportunities, and building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively identify and target new business opportunities (approx. 2 days per week)
Book and attend qualified appointments within defined geographic areas
Manage and convert a high volume of inbound leads
Conduct site visits, surveys, and prepare tailored service proposals
Negotiate contracts and handle objections effectively
Build and manage client relationships from initial contact through to close
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities
Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless onboarding of new contracts
About You:
Experienced Business Development Manager, ideally within cleaning or FM
Proven track record in direct sales and closing high-value contracts (£1.5m+ annually)
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Experience in education or healthcare sectors advantageous
Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
