About the Role

MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER Temp-to-Hire position Pay Rate: $21 to $23 per hour Location: Elmhurst Mon-Fri from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM (occasional OT on Saturday) Requirements: Resume / Interview / Background Check / Drug Test / Authorization to work in the U.S. Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join their team! Skills: Skilled at routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations Able to operate a variety of hand tools and machinery Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts Must have good eye/hand coordination Capable of recognizing and solving typical problems that can occur in own work area; evaluates and selects solutions from established options Effective oral,written and interpersonal skills Ability to clearly communicate with all internal and external customer Job Core Responsibilities Performs a variety of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations in accordance with company instructions and procedures Conducts inspections of own and/or other associates work to insure correctness in accordance with company and/or customer drawing Prepares lead wires, Performs advanced test functions. Shapes, connects and installs coils, solder, braze and fuse connections. Performs advanced installation, Performs marking and cleaning process, May solder and assemble, electro-mechanical or mechanical assemblies/subassemblies using blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturing instructions to conform to quality specifications May solder connections and electronic components to circuit boards May use coating equipment. May read calipers. May use small hand and electric tools. May clean and mark surfaces to indicate measurements. Ability to be trained to use simple machines such as lathes, drill press and balance machines. Other responsibilities as assigned Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. Responsibilities: Fit and braze copper tubing Wire basic electrical components Assemble brass fittings Read piping and wiring schematics Communicate issues in timely manner Have excellent follow-through and follow up skills Qualifications: Mechanical skills Analytical and problem solving skills Multi-tasking Knowledge of HVAC/refrigeration systems a plus Benefits Once You are Hired Directly and Become Eligible: Health Insurance 401K plan up 3% Bonuses provided!
