About the Role
We are currently recruiting Recycling Operatives for a local company that specialises in the recycling of white goods – including fridges, washing machines, cookers, and other large household appliances.
This is a hands-on role that involves regular heavy lifting, so candidates must be physically fit and comfortable handling bulky items throughout the day.
The shifts that are available:
Night Shift: 10pm-6am Monday to Friday with every third Saturday
Key Duties:
Loading and unloading white goods such as fridges, freezers, and washing machines
Moving heavy appliances by hand and using handling equipment where provided
Stripping down items for recycling components and materials
Sorting and segregating materials for appropriate recycling streams
Keeping the site clean and following all health & safety guidelines
Working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
Must be physically fit and capable of regular heavy lifting
Experience with manual handling or working in a recycling/warehouse environment preferred
Good attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
Reliability and punctuality are essential
