Position Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the business office department at our skilled nursing communitiy. The Business Office Assistant assists with financial duties in a healthcare setting as well as offering general support to the operation.

 

Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities

  • Must have experience in a healthcare setting
  • Assist in recording census changes.
  • Develop, maintain and foster managed care organization contacts and relationships.
  • Ensure timely and appropriate follow up of all required managed care.
  • Assist in entering cash receipts accurately and timely.
  • Enter ancillary and other billing transactions accurately and timely.
  • Assist in coordinating accounts payable invoices.
  • Support Executive Director and other management as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.

 

Position Requirements

Education: Associate’s Degree in business related field preferred.

Experience: 1+ years in a business office - healthcare setting (required)

  • Medicaid experience (required)

Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent data entry skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
