About the Role
Our client based in New Milton are looking for a Packing Operations Manager to lead a high-performing packing team in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. You will co-ordinate and lead a team of Packing Technicians, Assistant Team Leaders and Team Leaders across multiple departments, with the key focus of driving operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Lead, mentor and develop packing teams to achieve short-term and long-term objectives. Building a positive work environment that promotes engagement, skills development and high performance.
• Work closely with HR to develop and deliver people strategies to align with business needs.
• Support people processes, such as performance and absence management, training and engagement initiatives.
• Oversee day to day operations across the packing department.
• Set and monitor performance targets, ensuring delivery on time in full, within budget and to strict quality standards.
• Lead strategic improvement projects to maximise efficiency and reduce waste.
• Implement Lean principles and champion best practices to maintain market leadership.
• Oversee preventative maintenance of packing equipment and manage renewal of non-serviceable machinery.
Applicants will have at least 3 years’ experience in a mid to senior level operations role and will be able to demonstrate a background in leading continuous improvement / lean manufacturing initiatives. You will be people focused with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a large team.
This position is offered on a permanent basis, you will work a standard 40-hour week (Monday – Friday 07.30 am till 16.30 pm), there will be requirements to work additional hours through peak periods, including weekends. We are able to offer a starting salary of up to £45,000.00 per annum with a good benefits package.
