Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager required in Essex

GVR Solutions are currently working with an existing client of ours who are a bespoke Joinery & Fit Out contractor based in Essex. This particular client specialise in joinery and fit out projects across the Commercial, Public and Educational sectors.

They are currently in the market for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager to join their well-established commercial team. You will play a key role within the business along with overseeing all aspects of the Joinery and Fit Out projects commercially.

The duties of the Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager are:

• Managing the commercial reports and advice to the management team
• Ensure the commercial targets are achieved including project and programme cost, quality and time.
• Delegate work where necessary and liaise with team on project progress
• Prepare cashflows for payments in and out
• Carry out measurement for valuations
• Identify Opportunities and risks
• Attend post tender and pre-contract meetings.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager must have/be:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Joinery or Fit Out sector.
• A Proven track record of delivering construction projects
• Excellent communication and oral skills
• Comfortable liaising with Clients and Senior Management
• Stable employment history
• High-performing individual
