About the role:
Justteachers have a large client base of Secondary schools based in and around the Mildenhall area who require cover supervisors for absences on a day to day, interim and long-term basis. The schools we support vary from smaller than average rural school’s to large academy trusts and prestigious independent schools.
We have positions available to start immediately and planned absences from September 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- To deliver pre-set learning and supervise whole classes during the absence of the main class
- The primary focus will be to maintain good order and to keep pupils on task by promoting good learner behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with the school’s behaviour management
- Cover supervisors will need to respond to questions and generally assist pupils to undertake set activities.
- Provide feedback on pupil’s achievement, progress, problems etc.
Pre-requisites:
- Be a qualified HTLA, Teacher, University Graduate or hold referenceable previous cover supervisor experience and GCSE level 4 in Maths and English or equivalent.
- Be able to supply at least 2 education/school-based references from the last two years.
- Be able to establish constructive relationships with learners and interact according to individual needs.
- Have an adaptable attitude and ability to flexibly move age range from one period to the next.
