About the role:
Justteachers are recruiting for a Primary Teaching Assistant on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Bradford for a full-time position starting in September 2026.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils both on a 1:1 basis and within small group settings, helping to promote engagement, confidence, and academic progress. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to provide tailored assistance to pupils with varying learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils, ensuring their individual learning and development needs are met.
- Support small groups of students with classroom activities and interventions.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging learning experiences.
- Help to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Encourage pupil participation, independence, and confidence.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback where required.
- Support pupils with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs.
- Adhere to school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour management procedures.
Pre-requisites:
- Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups is desirable.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
