We are seeking a Water / Wastewater Operator-in-Training for assignment in Quincy, Washington. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the operations and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment plant including maintenance of equipment, quality control/testing and other day-to-day activities on an assigned shift.


Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm


** This position will have an on-call schedule ** 


Responsibilities
- Process control through sampling at various points in the facility
- Running lab tests on samples 
- Interpret the data and make process changes as necessary
- Facility maintenance
- Monitoring equipment
- Putting in work orders
- Calibration of equipment
- Keeping company and client property clean and in working order
- Giving weekly updates on the facility in meetings 
- Assist the lab in collection and analysis of samples
- Inputting data into the data management system
- Checking SCADA system regularly to monitor all equipment and facility processes
- Communicate any issues, data or equipment problems to other operators and the operations supervisor in a timely manner 


Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Drivers License
- Ability to learn new computer skills quickly (data management system and SCADA)
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Knowledge of pumps, valves or motors is highly preferred
- A Wastewater Certification or Drinking Water License is highly preferred
