Short Term Nanny Job

Live-In or Live-Out Summer Nanny, Berkshire,

July – August (June start preferred if available)

A returning client of Greycoat Lumleys based in Berkshire is seeking a highly experienced, mature, and professional nanny to support their formal household over the summer period. The family has three children aged 3, 5, and 7 years.

If a June start is not available, the family would still like to secure support for July and August at a minimum.

This is an excellent opportunity for a polished, well-presented, and discreet nanny who is confident working within a structured and formal household environment, while also being warm, engaging, and proactive with the children.

The Role

The nanny will be responsible for delivering high-quality childcare support throughout the summer holidays, ensuring consistency, routine, and a well-organised environment for the children.

The role can be live-in or live-out, with excellent accommodation provided for live-in candidates (separate entrance with private bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living area).

The position is primarily shared care with a hands-on mother; therefore, a collaborative, respectful, and team-oriented approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Morning routines, including breakfast and preparation for the day

• School holiday planning, activities, and outings

• School runs and transport to activities (driver essential)

• Preparing healthy, balanced meals for the children (and occasional family cooking if confident)

• Children’s laundry and organisation of bedrooms and belongings

• Supporting bath time and evening routines

• Running errands and assisting with household organisation during the summer period

• Travelling with the family during school holidays

• Working closely and respectfully alongside the mother in a team-based household

One child has a nut allergy; strict attention to dietary requirements is essential.

Candidate Requirements

• Experienced, professional nanny with strong, checkable references

• Confident caring for children aged 3–7 years

• Demonstrates discretion, professionalism, and excellent presentation

• Driver essential

• Highly organised, reliable, and proactive

• Comfortable in a formal household environment

• Collaborative and respectful team player

• Happy to travel with the family

• Energetic, engaging, and outdoorsy with children

• Location: Berkshire

• Dates: July – August (June start if available)

• Hours: 7:30am – 7:30pm

• Days: Tuesday–Saturday or Monday–Friday (with flexibility, including occasional weekends)

• Travel required

• Family has two dogs
