About the Role

Join our dedicated Children’s Social Work team in Swindon, where you will play a vital role in supporting children with disabilities and their families. As a Qualified Social Worker within the Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children while ensuring that their needs are met through effective assessments and interventions.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and their families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing care plans tailored to the individual circumstances of children with disabilities.
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals, including health services, educational institutions, and voluntary organizations.
  • Providing support and guidance to families, empowering them to engage positively with their children’s needs.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work) and hold current registration with Social Work England. You should have a solid understanding of legislation and best practices surrounding children with disabilities, along with practical experience in a similar role. Essential skills include:
